PelletSales.com was founded by Jon Strimling, who was previously director of development at New England Wood Pellet.
In working to streamline the manufacturing of wood pellets, Jon realized that many consumers were not being effectively
served by existing distribution channels.
His concept – making pellets available on-line and delivering directly to consumers – has now caught on. After a small start
with shipment from one facility in Massachusetts, the company has rapidly grown into the nation’s leading independent distributor
of pellet fuels.
Our goal was to streamline both the flow of materials and the flow of information in the industry. Transportation can be up
to 50% of the cost of pellets, so we focus on always finding the shortest possible path between a manufacturer and consumer,
saving you money. Right now, in most markets, this means providing bagged pellet fuels, but we soon expect to be able to
offer bulk delivery of pellet fuels more broadly.
We do this through an ever expanding affiliate network. A network of pellet manufacturers is standing by to help us meet demand.
Stove manufacturers keep us in touch with regional product requirements through their affiliated stove shops. Our carrier and
distribution center network is unrivaled in the industry, providing us nationwide coverage. Our corporate affiliates provide
additional insight into the national and international trends in this market.
We also wanted to create a market, where options are visible to consumers and they can choose the quality of fuels appropriate
to their needs from a menu of options. With a heavy investment in information systems, we have not only been able to achieve this
goal, we actually have patents pending on our industry-leading technology.
With a focus on responsive customer service and backed by a heavy investment in industry leading technology, PelletSales.com has
now become the standard by which other pellet retailers are measured.
