It is our pleasure to be able to offer you a variety of quality premium pellets. We require consistent quality from our sources, and our direct delivery model enables us to provide these top quality products at competitive prices. Because we source regionally, not all products are available in all areas.
Please Note: There is a common misconception that hardwood pellets are superior to softwood pellets. Hardwood logs do burn hotter than softwood logs, because hardwood logs typically have lower moisture content and are more dense. But all of our pellets have extremely low moisture levels (typically 5% or less) and are compressed to a consistent density, so the heat content per pound of pellets can actually be higher for some softwood pellets than hardwood pellets.
Exceptional quality controls ensure that CleanFire's Northern Blend pellet is one of the cleanest burning pellets available in the market. A proprietary blend of clean hardwood shavings and chips forms the basis for this product. Then a small amount of softwood is then added to facilitate processing and ensure a consistently energy-dense product. Fines are carefully screened before packaging and the resulting pellets typically run at about 0.5% ash, meaning half the cleanings that would be required with some other "Premium" pellets.
Greenway produces an extremely clean-burning, high heat hardwood pellet. Their oak hardwood pellets utilize the clean residuals from a hardwood flooring plant, which results in ash levels typically less than 0.55%. Although Greenway is a relatively new producer of wood pellet fuels, we have had extremely positive feedback on the quality of their product from our initial purchasers.
American Wood Fibers is the nation's largest supplier of wood by-products, and has leveraged that expertise in creating their Premium Hardwood Pellet Fuel. The pellets are produced with a blend of quality hardwood fibers and are processed through multiple steps to eliminate fines.
Somerset uses kiln-dried sawdust from their hardwood flooring division to produce their quality pellets. Because the company has total control of its raw materials from lumber to pellet, Somerset doesn't need to worry about contaminates in the raw materials. This control insures that the highest levels of quality control are achieved.
Michigan Wood Pellet Fuel is produced in Southern Michigan from only the finest hardwood chips to produce premium residential fuel. The company is dedicated not only to producing a premium hardwood pellet, but is proud to contribute to society's move toward renewable fuels. These premium pellets are made only from natural wood fiber and no binding agents. They surpass the highest EPA standards and have the Pellet Fuel Industries standards label on every bag.
CleanFire Softwood blend certified pellets are known for their high heat and low ash content. These premium pellets come from the Western forests of North America, where the softwood species allows the production of an extremely consistent, high quality pellet. Ash content is typically below 0.5%, which is less than half the standard for premium pellets. Heat output is driven by the extremely high heating value of 8200 BTU/lb.
This product is manufactured in British Columbia and is then shipped to the US in bulk, where it is packaged by New England Wood Pellet. This pellet is made from Lodgepole Pine and exceeds the Pellet Fuel Institute's premium grade standard in every category. This product has the same low ash, low dust (fines), high energy burning characteristics as other softwood pellet. The Green Supreme premium pellet is consistently sized, holds together well, and has a very faint softwood fragrance.
Comments from customers have been uniformly positive since it started shipping in October, 2006. At 0.22% ash, you will not find a lower ash pellet on the market and it also provides an extremely high heating value of 8200 BTU/lb.
Westwood Fibre Ltd. of Kamloops, British Columbia, has been in business for more than 25 years.
Based on our independent lab tests, Westwood pellets are dried to under 5% moisture and have less than .5% ash for a clean burning fuel. These premium softwood pellets have a high heat output of over 7900 BTUs per pound. Westwood fuel pellets are ideally used for burning in furnaces, boilers, fire places inserts and pellet stoves.
These Eagle Valley pellets are known for their high heat and low ash content. These products premium pellets are imported from Western Canada, where the softwood species allows the production of an extremely consistent, high quality pellet. Ash content is typically below 0.3%, which is less than half the standard for premium pellets. Heat output is driven by the extremely high heating value of 8300 BTU/lb.
Eco-Flame wood pellets by Confluence Energy from Kremmling, Colorado produces these high quality premium grade wood pellets from Lodgepole Pine trees killed by the Mountain Pine Beatle that has infested so many forests in Colorado and surrounding states. These trees are being removed to help protect the remaining forest and land from devastating forest fires, and being used to help heat homes in the process. These Premium wood pellets have been tested to have ash content typically below .65% and heat value of 8000 BTU/lb.
"The Finest Money Can Buy" That's the mission statement of Rocky Mountain Pellet out of Walden, Colorado. They use only 100% beetle-kill Lodgepole Pine and like to show off the "blue specks" in these softwood pellets, indicating the wood killed by the beetles. Left in the forest, these dead trees are dangerous tender for devastating fires. Carefully stripping all the bark off the wood before manufacturing, these pellets have low enough ash (less than 1/2 of 1%) to be classified as super premium, a new standards category defined by the Pellet Fuels Institute. In recent independent test data, Rocky Mountain pellets had 0.30% ash with a heat value of 7951 BTU/lb.
Granules LG out of Quebec Canada offers 100% top-quality softwood pellets made from Black Spruce and Grey Pine and are known for their superior heating value. With an average heat value of 7765 BTU/lb, moisture content of 6.97%, and ash level below 0.38%, Granules LG pellets will deliver a high quality, low maintenance burn. GE Fabricators Inc. out of Salem NJ makes roof trusses, wood I-beams and other new construction building materials. Instead of throwing away the leftover sawdust and chips from their manufacturing process, they recycle it into Eco Brix, a clean, high efficiency fuel for airtight woord burning appliances, open fireplaces, and wood burning cooking ovens.
This high density fuel stores in less space, has a much lower moisture content, and therefore puts out more heat than normal cordwood. Enjoy less mess and easier handling with Eco Brix.
We're pleased to offer this clean, renewable fuel that allows owners of conventional woodstoves to enjoy the same ease of use our pellet customers have come to expect. BioBricks are made of highly compressed, recycled sawdust from New England sawmills and can be burned in any wood stove just like regular cordwood; however, they have significant advantages over cordwood. One 4'x4'x3' pallet of BioBricks provides as much heat as a cord of wood, but takes up half the space, emits half the particulates (smoke) into the atmosphere, and packs better in your stove, extending burn time by over 50%. Say goodbye to the hassles of messy cordwood.
Liberty Bricks are made of highly compressed, recycled wood chips and sawdust from the Petersburg, Virginia area sawmills and wood processing facilities. These bricks can be burned in any wood stove, chimney or fireplace just like regular cordwood. Liberty Bricks (per skid) provide as much heat as a cord of wood without the splitting, hand stacking, mess and bugs. Liberty Bricks also emit half the particulates (smoke) and take up half the space as compared to cord wood, not to mention they are conveniently packaged 10 bricks per bundle (22.5 lbs per bundle / 90 bundles per skid).
In the future we intend to expand our product offering to include other biomass fuels such as:
PelletSales.Com will soon provide more data on ash and energy content for a variety of biomass fuels, as we are dedicated to helping our customers make efficient, economical, and informed decisions about their product selections.
