Exceptional Quality Premium Pellets

It is our pleasure to be able to offer you a variety of quality premium pellets.  We require consistent quality from our sources, and our direct delivery model enables us to provide these top quality products at discounted prices.  Because we source regionally, not all products are available in all areas.

Please Note: There is a common misconception that hardwood pellets are superior to softwood pellets.  Hardwood logs do burn hotter than softwood logs, because hardwood logs have lower moisture content.  But all of our pellets have extremely low moisture levels (typically 5% or less), so the heat content per pound of pellets can actually be higher for some softwood pellets than hardwood pellets.

Hardwood

CleanFire Northern Blend Premium Pellets (Predominantly Hardwood) Quality Certified
Exceptional quality controls ensure that CleanFire's Northern Blend pellet is one of the cleanest burning pellets available in the market. A proprietary blend of clean hardwood shavings and chips forms the basis for this product. Then a small amount of softwood is then added to facilitate processing and ensure a consistently energy-dense product. Fines are carefully screened before packaging and the resulting pellets typically run at about 0.5% ash, meaning half the cleanings that would be required with some other "Premium" pellets.

Greenway Pellets (Hardwood)
Greenway produces an extremely clean-burning, high heat hardwood pellet.  Their oak hardwood pellets utilize the clean residuals from a hardwood flooring plant, which results in ash levels typically less than 0.5%.  Although Greenway is a relatively new producer of wood pellet fuels, we have had extremely positive feedback on the quality of their product from our initial purchasers.

Kentucky Kernels (Hardwood)
A product of one of the largest stair rail manufacturers in the US, these Kentucky Kernels burn clean and hot. They are composed of dry hardwood residuals from millwork and molding operations, which have been kiln dried, producing an exceptionally low ash pellet. The resulting pellets typically run at about 0.5% ash, meaning half the cleanings that would be required with some other "Premium" pellets.

Marth Premium Pellets
These pellets are manufactured from 100% kiln dried, virgin wood obtained exclusively from Marth approved mills, which provide consistent, quality raw materials. The stringent controls on the incoming end ensure that the product that comes from this mill is of the utmost quality. In addition, Marth's raw material suppliers use managed forests, to ensure that our children can also enjoy this renewable resource.

Pennington Premium Wood Pellets (Hardwood)
We are pleased to be able to offer this premium product, from a facility that has been making quality wood pellets since 1990.  These hardwood pellets are manufactured from kiln-dried oak chips and sawdust generated during the processing of lumber and hardwood flooring.  Because of the clean sources of materials, ash content is typically less than 0.5%.  The plant utilizes both screening and an air wash system to ensure the removal of fines before packaging.

Ozark Premium Hardwood Pellets (Hardwood)
Ozark Premium Hardwood Pellets begin with sorted, screened and sized hardwood sawdust. This recycled material is then dried to remove excess moisture before the pellets are produced. Before bagging the pellets are again screened to eliminate fines and insure a clean and consistent pellet. This process insures an excellent pellet with ash content of 0.22% and BTU output of 8380.

Fiber Resources (Hardwood)
Fiber Resources produces an excellent hardwood pellet from kiln dried oak shavings. The raw materials come from sawdust generated by oak flooring plants in southeast Arkansas and are manufactured nearby at the pellet mill. This premium pellet is low in ash and high in heat.

Softwood

New Bio Energie (Softwood)
We just secured a supply of the lowest ash, highest BTU pellet in the Northeast at extremely competitive pricing. The pellets were manufactured by Pinnacle Pellet in Canada, with 0.2-0.3% ash and 8200 BTU/lb. That's less than half the ash of other "premium" pellets, and an extra $10-15 worth of heating value per ton. This lot was packaged on behalf of an Italian customer, New Bio Energie, who defaulted on their contract, allowing us to offer it to you at greatly reduced pricing. The product is packaged for European use in 15kg(33lb) bags, on skids with 65 bags(1.07 tons). As long as you don't mind lifting slightly lighter bags, the metric conversions should not bother you or your stove one bit!

BioBricks for Woodstoves

BioBricksTM
We're pleased to offer this clean, renewable fuel that allows owners of conventional woodstoves to enjoy the same ease of use our pellet customers have come to expect. BioBricks are made of highly compressed, recycled sawdust from New England samills and can be burned in any woodstove just like regular cordwood; however, they have significant advantages over cordwood. One 4'x4'x3' pallet of BioBricks provides as much heat as a cord of wood, but takes up half the space, emits half the particulates (smoke) into the atmosphere, and packs better in your stove, extending burn time by over 50%. Say goodbye to the hassles of messy cordwood. Our current supply of this product is limited. We are working to increase availability.

Corn

Corn is an alternative to pellet fuels, though it does have a higher ash content.  We buy only #2 corn, which is rigorously controlled to minimize ash content to about 1% ash.  Providing it is appropriate to do so in your stove, this product can also be mixed with wood to provide an economical alternative to burning pellets alone.   However, for the 2006-2007 heating season, we are recommending wood pellets over corn to our customers due to rising corn prices and falling pellet prices.

Other Products

In the future we intend to expand our product offering to include corn/wood mixtures and other biomass fuels such as:

  • Barley & Wheat
  • Grass Pellets
  • Pea Pellets
  • Bark Pellets

PelletSales.Com will soon provide data on ash and energy content for a variety of biomass fuels, as we are dedicated to helping our customers make efficient, economical, and informed decisions about their product selections.
